Eritrea Pulls Back its Troops from Borders - Eritrean Press
In a gesture of reconciliation, Eritrea first withdraws its army from its border.
Last weekend, the Ethiopian Deputy Chief of Staff Berhanu Jula pledged to move its troops stationed at areas bordering Eritrea and waiting for instruction from the new Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
Observers say the peaceful withdrawal of the two heavily armed militaries would strengthen regional stability and restore confidence and resilience to the economy of both countries.
"It is imperative for all those who care about the long-term stability and economic viability of the region to do everything they can to help the two countries move beyond the senseless war that wrought so much suffering on both people."
