President Isaias Closes Adi Abeyto Prison

All prisoners accused of attempting to leave the country or evading national service are released from Adi Abeyto prison.

The news is welcomed by families of those in detention (pictured) who spend hours queuing in the sun in the hope of being able to deliver food and clothing to their loved ones.

Adi Abeyto town is 4km from the capital Asmara.
